Sir Elton John, a massive fan of renowned singer Dolly Parton, recently made a collaboration with the icon. The two worked hand in hand on a remake of one of Elton’s epic singles. Namely, that’s the 1974 single, “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me”. Sources say Dolly admires Elton just as much as he admires her, and the single they’ve worked on is one of Dolly’s favorite songs.
Sir Elton John and Dolly’s Collab
Many fans wondered how the idea of working together with Dolly hit Sir Elton John. One source said that Elton had been admiring Dolly all his career and really wanted to record a song with her. He heard the icon wanted to work with him as well, and he just couldn’t miss the chance.
The track will be part of Dolly’s upcoming album, which will feature many of her originals and covers of her legendary singles. Rumour has it that Dolly had already recorded a cover of Elton’s single back in December but wanted to have his input. So, Dolly sent an email asking for Sir Elton John’s assistance, possibly playing the piano as well as singing. The rest is history.
Dolly Parton was inaugurated in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 and has commented she wants to earn her place there.
